77 Days

October 8, 2010
Yesterday I received one of the most lovely emails that reminded me how close CHRISTMAS really is…(Sorry Chloe and all my Yankee hating friends.)

Can you imagine having a Christmas party at Yankee Stadium?!?!? That would just be ahmaziiiing to me. :o) I have not been to the new stadium yet, but I did tour the House that Ruth Built in the final season. (woop woop!)

Okay, okay so back to the point —

There are only 77 days left until Christmas!

Since this is my first Christmas as Mrs. Christmas, I am thinking I should deck out the house with Christmas decorations and really put my volunteering skills into action!

For decorations, I’d love a beautiful tree, lights galore all over our house, and one of these bad boys in the front yard.

Lol so what do y’all think? Would this be considered tacky?

Two y
ears ago when Keith and I were dating, I was visiting him in SC and went with him to buy his Christmas tree. We decorated his house a bit and had a blast. I can’t wait to do it again this year as a married couple! :o)

As for volunteering, I’d really love to go visit a nursing home and spend time with the folks there. I’ve been wanting to do this for a little while now, but it seems like this idea has been put on the back burner. Whenever I see elderly people my heart strings are tugged and I feel like just running up to them and hugging them. Everyone has a story, and I can guarantee that some of their stories are simply amazing. I really hope that I can make time this year to visit them.

I’ll leave you with this clip from A Charlie Brown Christmas. It’s one of my absolute faves…gotta love Lucy. :o)

Have a great weekend you guys!

Eek! So excited! I've been listening to Christmas music since September. Better start making a shopping list!

And it must cost $1,789,302 to rent yankees stadium for one hour, considering the bills the money hungry steinbrenners have to pay their players. Just sayin'. šŸ˜›

And yes, as Mrs. Christmas, you are obligated to recreate the entirety of the North Pole in your home, and post pictures for all to see. :]

I LOVE Christmas…but I'm not quite ready for it yet. I can't believe some department stores are already playing Christmas music on the radio!!!!

I tagged you on my most recent blog post! Hope you join in the fun!

GIRL! Thank you SO much for your sweet encouraging words and your prayers! They are much needed. It's amazing, I'm hearing a pattern from everyone encouraging me. They're all telling me that I'm SO strong. And it's funny, because I'm SO weak, so those verses where my God says that His strength is made perfect in my weakness, oh how true!

    I love you.

Haha while I am a Yankee hater (like Chloe!), my boyfriend and I have talked about having our engagement party at CitiField! I would love to throw a party at a baseball stadium!
