Peach Fuzz, Anyone?

November 4, 2010
On Tuesday night when I was getting ready for bed, I decided that I no longer wanted any peach fuzz on my chin. I know that everyone has this fuzz on their face, but lately I’ve been noticing mine a lot. And if I notice it, then maybe other people notice it, too. And who in the world wants to be known as the girl with the peach fuzz on her chin!??!
Okay, I’m being a little dramatic, but still.

Anyway, I remembered that I had purchased Nad’s Facial Strips around the time of my wedding just in case I got brave and wanted to wax anything. Well, that didn’t happen and I had never used this product before.

Softer fabric, hypoallergenic, for delicate areas…everything sounded great! So, I tired one strip on my chin. I followed the directions, and before I knew it I had removed the hair off of my chin. It only hurt for a moment and my chin was a little red, but I was hairless! Woo hooo!

Then I started looking closer.

And I realized that I ripped hair and skin off. Here is what I looked like yesterday at work.

Ohhhhhh how I wish I would’ve had a cool story like “I rescued an infant from danger and hit my chin” or even “I accidentally fell down the stairs.” But no. I had to explain how I was waxing my chin. Not. cool.

This burn is incredibly painful and itchy. :o( Needless to say, I will never use Nad’s again. More importantly, I will never wax a body part again. I’m sure the fuzz on my chin will grow back, but at this point I do not care. It is blonde and short and normal, right? Right.

This weekend, Keith, my chin, and I are heading to Atlanta for a law school forum. I doubt that law school reps will care, but I certainly hope they don’t ask what happened to my chin…because if they do I may just have to go with that whole baby in danger story. :o)

*PS: Thanks for all of the support I received after writing about my unspoken problems. These unspokens are getting better, and I have faith that everything will work out for the best. I really appreciate all of the feedback and I am thankful for all of your prayers and kindness. You guys are amazing.

That looks really painful! I am scared of waxing any part of my body too, and after seeing this I doubt I will have the courage to try it anytime soon.

I hope you heal fast! 🙂

yikes! I was totally prepared to read a "this-product-is-awesome!" review, LOL! Clearly NOT the case! Hope it heals up quickly!

And are you guys going to preview weekend at Regent? I forget when it is, but I've heard great things about it!

Oh ouch! Yes, totally go with the baby story…who cares?! 😉 Hope it heals soon! Okay, and this just solidifies the fact that I should stay with bleaching instead of waxing. Oh the joys of being a girl. Enjoy your weekend!
