Christmas as a Christmas

This Christmas will be our first as a married couple. :)

It will also be the first for me as Lindsey Christmas. Since March, I have been adapting to my new last name. I went from having a forgettable last name (Perrin) to something that definitely sticks out. Throughout the year I have received a few comments about it, but the month of December has been crazy. I've received a bit more attention and I was definitely not prepared. Keith warned me that this would happen, but I guess I didn't think too much of it. My last name is Christmas, so what?

I work in the sales department for a disaster preparedness and relief company, and my customers have been getting a kick out of it! A few comments I've heard recently are:

"I just love that your name is Christmas! Charming!"

"BUT your last name is Christmas! Don't be a Scrooge!!!" (in regards to a bigger discount)

"Are you married to Santa? I sure hope so!"

"You have a wonderful name! Later on in life your husband will be Father Christmas. Lol sorry I couldn't resist!"

While the extra attention can sometimes be uncomfortable, I really have enjoyed the interaction with my customers. Being a Christmas at Christmas most most definitely makes for a memorable conversation. :)

Our first "married people" Christmas card. (Thank you Shutterfly!)
