On Wednesday, Gavin and I made it to 27 weeks pregnant. And since I have become a professional at slacking on my blog, here are the bump shots/updates for weeks 23-26. 🙂
For weeks 23-26, everything went pretty great. No sickness, but I was a bit more tired than usual. A new development for me has been heartburn — I never know when it’s going to happen, but ouch when it does it comes on strong. During week 24 I strained too hard on something and ended up pulling my round ligament muscle. Holy moly. The pain I felt in my lower abdomen was awful, but thankfully it only lasted one day. I keep telling myself that I want to have this baby sans an epidural, but if a pulled muscle brought me to tears I can only imagine what labor will do!
Even though my belly is only getting bigger, my sleeping habits are improving. I can usually make it through the night without waking up, however there have been a few instances where I wake up starving. When this happens I tend to get a bit annoyed, but then just laugh and shrug it off. Hey, if my child is hungry at 5am, then this momma has got to feed him! 🙂
Still no “true” cravings, and this somewhat bums me out. Before I was pregnant I was always mixing salty and sweets, but now I’ve become a bit normal. Go figure. Gavin is now my little ninja and is very active. All of my previous worries about not feeling him were completely useless (as most worrying is).

Baby boy is getting bigger and bigger and I cannot wait to meet him!
